Daniel de la Vega desarrolla una extensa trayectoria en el cine de género argentino como director, guionista y productor. Su obra recorre el terror, el fantástico, el policial y el cine de culto, con películas realizadas en Argentina y para el mercado internacional. Egresado de la Escuela de Cine del INCAA, integra la Comisión Directiva de Directores Argentinos Cinematográficos (DAC). Comenzó su carrera trabajando como camarógrafo, asistente de dirección, guionista y director en publicidad, televisión y cine. Dirigió los cortometrajes “La última cena”, “Sueño profundo” y “El martillo”, este último premiado como Mejor Cortometraje en el Festival de Cine Fantástico de Sitges. Su recorrido en el largometraje incluye “Jennifer’s Shadow”, película de terror protagonizada por Faye Dunaway, que coescribió y codirigió para el mercado estadounidense, y “Death Knows Your Name”, su última película en inglés. Más adelante produjo y dirigió “Hermanos de Sangre”, ganadora del premio a Mejor Película Argentina en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Mar del Plata, y “Necrofobia”, la primera película argentina de terror filmada en 3D. Su filmografía continuó con “Ataúd Blanco”, “Soy Tóxico”, “Punto Muerto”, “Al Tercer Día”, “El Último Hereje” y “Los ojos del abismo”.

Daniel de la Vega has built an extensive career in Argentine genre cinema as a director, screenwriter, and producer. His work moves through horror, fantasy, crime, and cult cinema, with films made both in Argentina and for the international market. A graduate of the INCAA Film School, he is a member of the board of Directores Argentinos Cinematográficos (DAC). He began his career as a camera operator, assistant director, screenwriter, and director in advertising, television, and film. He directed the award-winning short films “La última cena”, “Sueño profundo”, and “El martillo”, the latter named Best Short Film at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival. His feature-film work includes “Jennifer’s Shadow”, a horror film starring Faye Dunaway, which he co-wrote and co-directed for the U.S. market, and “Death Knows Your Name”, his last English-language film.
